Journey Into The Kingdom Of Light
Have you stepped from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light? God has given you a free will. You must make a decision sometime along your journey to move into the Kingdom of light.
If you are alive here on planet earth, and you are, then you are smack down in the middle of the Kingdom of darkness. You cannot escape it. The Kingdom of darkness is the world in which you were born. The Kingdom of darkness is the world that Jesus was born into after leaving His beautiful home in Heaven. He was born on this earth, just like you were born on this earth! It’s true!
Jesus came to this earth born as a baby, and as He grew, He became a man and He had a family and friends. He was loving and kind. You were born as a baby, you grew up, and you have family and friends. The difference is Jesus’ Father was actually God, the Father. Jesus was both the Son of God and the Son of man.
Father God gave Jesus a destiny and a purpose to redeem the world from sin and disobedience. That is a big calling!! Jesus is God’s Son – only He could handle the assignment given to Him by Father God before the worlds began.
Jesus came to this earth with a purpose. It was to die for your sins – the sins of everyone. He came to redeem us back to the Father. He paid that price with His life blood. While Jesus was dying, all our sins were placed on Him.
Jesus died, then he rose again from his grave three days later. While He was in the grave, His spirit went down to the Kingdom of darkness where Satan has his home. Jesus showed Satan he was no longer the ruler of this world. Jesus said, I have redeemed it – taken it back – purchased it with my own life blood – Satan you are defeated!! The Bible says that Jesus led those who were captive in the Kingdom of darkness (Sheol from Psalm 139) that day.
With Satan defeated and rendered powerless, Jesus made a way for you to leave the Kingdom of darkness. He made a way for you to begin your journey into the Kingdom of life and light and love. Jesus has set you free to leave the Kingdom of darkness.
While you are on this planet, there is still a Kingdom of darkness – so you have a choice to make. You can choose to live in the Kingdom of darkness, or you can choose to live in the Kingdom of life and light. The Kingdom that Jesus died to give you. The Kingdom where love exists.
Matthew 7 verse 13 teaches us to 13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it. 14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it. (AMPC)
God sent you here, to this place at this time in eternity, so you can become a son or daughter of God. You may have already turned and walked through the narrow gate many years ago – only you can know that for sure. If you have not, then you have a decision to make on your journey through eternity present. You can turn from the broad road to the narrow road – it has a gate. His name is Jesus. Jesus is inviting you.
Anyone can turn from the path of destruction and darkness onto the path to eternal life in Jesus. It is that easy! You decide to turn your steps from darkness to light. It is a decision that you make with your mind and heart. If you are tired of running and doing things your own way make the decision to move your life journey onto the pathway God has provided for you way back in your eternity past – before God sent you here to be born into His family.
You can pray to God the Father right now – this very moment – and say something like “I don’t want to live my life like this any longer. I want to turn from the darkness of sin and disobedience and live my life for you, Jesus. I place all my disobedience all my sin upon you and ask you to forgive me. Come into my life – my heart – and save me. Thank you Jesus, please come and live your life through me now. Amen.”
If you have prayed something similar to the prayer above, Jesus has saved you, He lives inside your heart now. You have been born again – into to the family of God.
When you are born again you have a fresh start – a new beginning. Jesus has forgiven you your sins – your disobedience. Now you need to forgive all those who have sinned against you – those that have hurt you. You also need to forgive yourself for hurting others. And, you need to ask others to forgive you. If you have hurt others, you need to ask them to forgive you. You must now follow Jesus’ example and forgive others even if they have hurt you very badly, God says you must forgive.
Matthew 6 verse 14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. (AMPC)
If you want forgiveness from God in the future, then you need to forgive others!
And, if you have problems you cannot seem to overcome like an addiction, or an explosive temper, uncontrolled gossip, or busyness that keeps you from the destiny that God has planned for you, you can overcome these things. Look at what Hebrews 12 says to do:
2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Heaven has come to you through the finished work of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Romans 13 that we should throw off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to wake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
What is the armor of light? The armor of light is the very glory and presence of God within you and upon you and emanating around you. As soon as you receive Jesus in your life, His massive beautiful Spirit of love and light dwells within you. You can go to a place in Jesus, and commune with Him. You can be clothed in this armor of light as you meditate on His Word and worship Him in spirit and in truth. Because you are filled with His glorious presence, Jesus, in Matthew 5, says:
14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Now is the time to press into the spiritual realm of light – the Kingdom of God that Jesus has brought to you. It is your inheritance.
